I’m a trainer and pro cheer/dance coach for aspiring professional cheerleaders ready to turn their dreams into reality with comprehensive training programs that will have them going from amateur to thriving pro!
Welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here!I love to dance and have absolutely enjoyed being a professional cheerleader. If you also:
- love dancing and performing,
- constantly think about how you can fit it into your life, and
- want to grow as a dancer and become a pro,
then I see us being like best friends. Just know like a best friend does, you don't have to worry about sugarcoating with me. I'll give it to you straight no chaser because transparency is what I expect from myself and the people I trust.
I started this blog with the intention to share what I've learned along the way and give you an inside peek into what it takes to be a successful dancer for a pro team. You can expect to learn from every aspect of an audition from dance elements to how to interview to how to get killer abs to show through your audition attire.
About Me!
Let’s set the record straight; I started out my dance career without poms poms. Instead, I was in tutus, jazz and tap shoes at the age of three. Once I started, no one could get me to stop dancing.
All throughout grade school, I would compete on stages across the country at dance competitions. I then went to college and danced in front of thousands at football and basketball games and competed on a national stage.
Dance was a big part of my life, and after college I knew I wasn’t quite done with it. I’m from Charlotte, N.C., so my hometown will always hold a special place in my heart. I also love the Panthers, so there was no question, when it came time to choose a team to audition for.
When audition time came around, I wanted to be the best I could be. I wanted to stand out and like most auditionees. I wanted to be liked. I began training heavily and changed my diet to get in shape.
I still had dance experience from college, but picking up a new style that is pro cheer took some practice. I attended clinics and classes to really nail it down, and I also worked on how I wanted to present myself with my hair and makeup.
I was laser focused to say the least.
Now, after five years of cheering with the Topcats and going through multiple auditions, I want to help others who aspire to go pro and give them the opportunity to show up confidently for their dream team.
The Professional Cheerleader is about understanding who you are and using the best parts of yourself to make that team.
